August has been a busy month so far.
I've been painting non-stop in preparation for the Texas Reds Steak and Grape Festival and also doing custom orders on Etsy. Ever since I started hanging my art at Boomtown I've had a steady flow of inquiries for custom orders, which is very exciting and crazy and intense and ohmygod. We also started printing greeting cards! I've mention this before: I love watching Drew color my illustrations on Photoshop. The transformation is amazing and I'm very excited about all the prints & greeting cards we've created.
Outside of work (architecting) and after-work-work (painting), my dad came to visit at the beginning of the month + I went to Austin last weekend to celebrate Amy / for bachelorette shenanigans. We tried Triniti for Houston Restaurant Week (the jalapeno pink lemonade was ah-mazing). I got to catch up with both Derek and Karl - two of my favorite people - and realized I need to phone my friends more often.
House projects have been put on hold mainly because of all the painting but also because things keep breaking. Now we get to add AC fan motor to the list of things we've had to replace since moving in. The garage spring is still broken. We can't win. House: 3, Loremans: 0.
I can't believe summer is on the home stretch and that we're rapidly approaching September. I can't. I don't. I don't believe it. And now I must return to my heap of paintings....
